It's true. It IS better living through chemistry!

It's pretty clear how some people become addicted to hydrocodone and similar pain drugs. When in full effect, Michael's outlook on his condition is positively cheerful. Nevermind that he can't walk. Can't sleep in any position but his back. Can't put socks on. But life's grand when hopped up on pills.

I stopped by the radiology department of the hospital today and picked up cds of his x-rays and CT scans. I'll post them later some time for your viewing pleasure.

Then I think you'll really know what I mean that life is better when necessarily supplemented with pharmaceuticals.

Update @11:45pm
Here are photos of the damage. The first is an x-ray of his right clavicle. You can see that it snapped in half and there are two fragments floating there. The second is several shots of the CT of his pelvis. Imagine yourself looking down on him while he's standing up. The round shape is the head of his femur and other shapes are part of the socket where the femur fits into the pelvis. The findings state: "Fracture of the right acetabular roof in a triradiate pattern with fracture line extending posterolaterally, anteromedially and anterolaterally. The fracture extends to the anterior column of the anterior acetabulum and also involves the function of the superior pubic ramus and acetabulum."
