Another project

We have started phase one of creating bedroom #4. Sounds like a project involving an addition and enlarging the footprint of the house, but fortunately not. We were lucky enough to find a house with a massive garage - 830sf - and part of it was already set up to become another room of the house (including bathroom plumbing). The garage is L-shaped: an oversized two car portion and then another section that extends all the way back (making one side similar to a tandem garage). That extension is what will be the bedroom.

We've gotten a permit and need another, but in a few weeks time it will contain a laundry area which leads to "guest quarters" - a bedroom and three quarter bath. We'll then have three bathrooms, one of which will be on the opposite side of the house, which is the best part, especially when working in the yard or having parties. And it will be a great place for guests because they'll have their own bathroom rather than having to use the hall bath, or share it with others who might also be staying.

We couldn't do this as well or in as quick a time without the help and guidance of my uncle Clark, whose master skills will make this room the envy of the neighborhood! Thanks, Clark!

I'll try to post pictures of the progress. It should be interesting!
