Persimmon AKA Orange

Saturday, October 27, 2007

Yes, I know persimmon is orange. But it sounds prettier, and has a warmer tone to it. At the end of the day, however, the walls are still orange. I hope I'm rooting for the right rugby team or I might get beat up.

Actually it looks pretty good. It's just an adjustment for me because it's such a stretch from my normal color palate, yet it's happy and will keep guests from sleeping in. That's what Michael says.

And although my right shoulder is still recovering from last week, I'm just about to start the office. By the end of tomorrow, the room in which I'm currently sitting will have "Old Violin" on three walls and "Olive Tree" on the fourth. I have complete confidence in this combination. It's in my comfort zone. In fact, it would look really good in the master bedroom. Except I've already decided that the master is going to be battleship gray with glossy black trim. Very deco.

Not sure if I'll get around to painting the bathrooms next weekend; I might have to put it off until the weekend following. Some friends from Salem, OR will be in town on Friday and will probably stay with us. We have reservations at Ella that night. I'm looking forward to that as I've wanted to go since they opened. Then Saturday Michael and I are doing our usual anniversary (8 years on Oct 30) celebration at The Kitchen.

After two nights of heavenly, yet gluttonous, activity I'll be recovering by sleeping in and sweating at the gym. Sounds like it'll be a great weekend!
