Ok, so today was my first day in my new job. Kinda boring but that's usually how it goes. Just tryin' to get used to the people and what they do. So far, it seems that not much is expected of those I'm supposed to lead. It's a really relaxed atmosphere which is nice and I look forward to the proficiency that will come with time.

What's the best part? Working with MEN!

My old job was 100% women which means 100% drama. Don't get me wrong, I really like most of the ladies but when you get that many hormones in a room together, it's dangerous. And if two women don't like eachother everyone knows it and not a word even has to be said. Not that there are no words said because gossip is also quite popular. Men are so much simpler. There are few ulterior motives, no sidestepping issues - just the tell-it-like-it-is approach which I really prefer. And since it's in IT, I have even more motivation to get my CCNA. Gotta do a refresher on subnet masking but no worries. I love it.

My parents helped me paint the downstairs on Saturday. It took longer than I anticipated but we did an awesome job. On Sunday I painted the base boards, breakfast bar, etc - areas we didn't get to on Sunday. Didn't really change the colors, just added a new one so it's warmer now and more defined. Loverly. Can't wait for it to be put back together.

Hmm, well sorry for the boring post. I'm not feeling particularly talkative or creative this evening.
